Take Two

Last year we attempted to grow an Amarylis.  The girls were super excited to get to see a flower grow during the winter.  We all waited and waited and waited for it to bloom.  Sadly, all our Amarylis did was grow one long leaf.  This year we thought we'd give it another try (and double our chances while we are at it).  Here's to hoping that something comes of at least one of these bulbs!

  1. We are growing paperwhites for the first time! They were a gift from a child in my Sunday School class. They are about 5 inches tall but not flowering yet. I can't wait to see how they look and smell. Keep us posted!!!

  2. Thanks Kim!

Jess, I have never grown paperwhites but I have always wanted to! I hear that they have a strange smell. And I hear that if you add gin it helps them grow better! :)
