We wrapped up Emma's ancient India block with a trip to Shalini's Salon and Spa for mehandi! It was absolutely captivating to watch her create such beautiful art on the girls' hands, and we learned that it takes ten years of study before one is ready to do this professionally! The downside of having mehandi done yesterday is that it will surely still be on their hands when we do family pictures on October 28th. Talk about a major mom fail. I totally didn't even think about that before I booked the appointment (or, if I'm being really truthful, before we were walking back to the car)! Oops! xo
