After a week of being on strike (the Brigham nurses and the MGB home care staff had been on strike since the week before) Dave was back at work today followed by teaching at Northeastern which meant that his celebration would mostly be dinner and dessert. Grace and I made stuffed chicken (one of Dave's favorites) for dinner and we enjoyed chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches as his birthday dessert. It was an unassuming celebration, and we were missing Emma, but lovely nonetheless! xo
