Happy Birthday, Grace Elizabeth!

And just like that she's eleven, and just like that another birthday celebration weekend has come to a close! Between today and yesterday we all are just blown away by the amount of love that has been sent to David and Grace (and to the entire family). Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us! These past two days were full of incredible memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. For now, though, we are completely exhausted (but in a good way!) and calling it a night. Pictures from Grace's birthday today will be up on the blog tomorrow.

It was a truly incredible year for our sweet firstborn girl, and we have no doubt that this next trip around the sun will be even more incredible (and even more dance filled)! Happy birthday, Grace Elizabeth! Thank you for making our dreams of parenthood a reality, and thank you for making this world a more lovely place! xo

In Celebration Of David

When Dave turned thirty (and Grace turned one) we had a large catered celebration in the backyard. It was a glorious day full of family and friends and good food and lots of fun. Fast forward ten years and when it came time to figure out what to do to welcome him to this next decade nothing sounded quite right. That was until one night the idea of coming up to Massachusetts was tossed out to Frank and Rob. No sooner were the words said than hotel rooms were booked and plans were made.

This gathering today, and the night on the town that followed, was absolutely the perfect celebration for this milestone birthday for Dave. I have no doubt that forty will be good to him! I cannot wait to see all the adventures that this next decade holds! Cheers to forty years, Dave! May all your birthday wishes come true! xo

It didn't really feel like July out there today, but that didn't stop us from taking some of our most favorite people to one of our most favorite places! xo

For us, dance recital picture day is pretty much our version of "school picture day"! xo

Scenes From Camp

The girls are home! We picked them up this afternoon and then spent the next several hours hearing all of their stories and looking through all the pictures that were on the CD they came home with. As we expected they had an absolute blast and were sad to have to come home so soon. "It wasn't nearly long enough, mama!" Judging by these pictures (and their multitude of stories) we can see why they are counting the days until they can return again next summer (and the summer after that and the summer after that and the summer after that)! 

Thank you Will, Sydney and all at Pilgrim Lodge for making this experience possible and so very incredible for Grace and Emma! The girls have definitely found a new happy place and will surely be going back for years to come! xo
