June. Pride month. Emma's end of the year presentation. Children's Sunday. The last day of Parker (yay!). Dance Recital, Father's Day weekend and four new chicks to add to the flock. A visit with Frank in Boston and a return home to Plymouth Church. A full month indeed! xo

And That's A Wrap

 

And that's a wrap on this school year AND the girls attending public school! It was an interesting experience for sure, and lots was learned, the biggest take away being that they are homeschoolers through and through (and we are a better homeschooing family than traditional school family for sure)! Excited to have them returning home to finish their high school years! Peace out, Parker! It was a wild ride, and we are grateful for the teachable moments and friends made along the way but we are ready to get back to our regularly scheduled programming!

As is our tradition, we ended this year with ice cream! The girls opted for a trip to Ben & Jerry's today!

Lest We Forget

Today we attneded the Memorial Day parade in town, as we do every year, as a way to pay our respects and honor and remember those who gave their lives in battle. As a Gold Star family this day is especially poignant for us as one of my father's brothers was killed in action in Vietnam. He was a few days shy of turning twenty years old.  

I am so grateful that as a nation we have set aside this day to honor those who died in battle. I am grateful to have seen less and less "Happy Memorial Day" on social media. It is so important that we take this day to remember....

Another Trip Around The Sun

 

In Which Emma Plays Ultimate

Emma, holding the frisbee, joined Parker's first ever Ultimate Frisbee team this spring! 

And while Ultimate was not a "thing" when I was a kid I had enough of a clue about it to know that this was totally up her alley! 

Right from minute one, she loved everything about this game. 

And picked it up quickly! 

They had their last game today. And since I had not been to any I just knew I had to be at this one! 

It was a gorgeous day to be out there, at my first ever Ultimate game, watching my youngest girl have the time of her life! 

I am looking forward to seeing all she learns and how much she grows as a player during the High School Summer league she will be playing on in Lexington this summer. With how much she loved this game we knew we needed to find a team for her to play on this summer, as well as next year since she is returning to life as a homeschooler. Ultimate is such a much better fit for Emma than soccer was, and we are grateful to Jacob for starting this team and being her first coach! His love for this game shows and he has truly nstilled it upon all the members of the team, but especially Emma! xo

On Grace And Emma's Confirmation Day!

What an absolutely wonderful day! The weather was gorgeous, the service incredible, and hte fact that Bonnie spoke about each of the confirmands during their actual confirmation was beyond special! Thank you to everyone who was there, be it in-person or online, to celebrate this special day! Our girls are so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so much love! xo
