Yesterday afternoon, after the show and after we had lunch, we trekked in to Boston to check out the Road to Sochi event. We arrived with only a couple of hours left of the event, but truly our timing was perfect! It wasn't crowded, there were barely any lines and we had lots of fun in a short amount of time. We got to meet speedskater Joey Cheek (and hold the gold medal he won in Torino in 2006), experience what it's like to ride a luge, throw a curling stone, compete in cross country skiing and shoot some pucks. We were in awe of the World Figure Skating trophy and a skating costume of Kristi Yamaguchi's (she is even tinier than I had imagined)! It was a fabulous way to cap off a wonderful day!
It was! Such a neat event!
