Yesterday we awoke to a gorgeous snow covered world! It wasn't quite the huge amount we had been expecting (16 inches) but it was a significant amount nonetheless. Dave had the last few days of the week off, so we took our time getting our day started and he took his time getting out there to clear the snow.
The night before I had seen a post on Facebook about frozen bubbles and quickly added this to the next day's to-do list.
We mixed up some bubble solution (using this recipe) and headed out into the snow to give it a try.
And while we couldn't get them to stay (thanks to the wind) it was magical to see them floating around.
We'll surely be trying this again throughout this winter. It's just so magical!
For all of you experiencing these frigid cold temperatures like we are many warm thoughts are being sent your way! For as much as we love the winter and the snow we could surely do without such very cold temperatures. What a way for Mother Nature to welcome 2014!
I hope you're staying warm and enjoying the snow. We have less snow here but just as much cold. The temperature is supposed to reach the double digits today (whee!) so we can go out...xo
ReplyDeleteThat's considered not a huge amount of snow! I think it would close England for a week! If we ever do get any snow I must remember to try frozen bubbles though, it looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photos Shel !
ReplyDeleteLiving in the sub-tropics l just cannot imagine what it must be like to see so much SNOW.
And frozen bubbles.....get out of here.....how cool is that :)
