On His Morning Walk

For the past few years the neighborhood cat has made our house one of his stops on his rounds. From the moment that we first met him, Emma was smitten (and the feeling was clearly mutual). Since we weren't sure of his name she started calling him "Friend the Cat". And even though we've come to learn that his name is Emmett he's still known in our house simply as Friend the Cat. This sweet boy, and Miss Emma Faith, are quite the pair. He adores her and she adores him. Every time he stops by she drops whatever she is doing to head outside and visit with him. Her hope is to one day have an orange cat of her own (which she plans to name Clementine), but for now she is pretty content with her regular visits with this sweet soul. It's a sweet friendship, and one that I am very grateful to get to witness each time he stops by. xo
