At The Eric Carle Museum

Today's adventure took us to The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art! I have wanted to take the girls here for years now, but for one reason or another we hadn't made it out there prior to today. My dear friend Kristin was up visiting and since she is a huge Eric Carle fan it was fitting that our first trip out to this wonderful museum was with her and her darling son!
 In The Carle's library.
 Gallery bound.
There was an entire room devoted to books that had won the Caldecott Medal each year since the award was first given.
 Story time with Kristin.
 In the art studio.
Not a day goes by without these two crafting.
 "Let's hold hands this time!"
 Gift shop.
I think it's safe to say that their dream has been achieved.

After our visit today there is no doubt in my mind that if we lived closer we would have been visiting since the girls were toddlers (and we'd most likely have a membership there, too). What an absolutely special place! Thank you, Kristin, for suggesting we meet here! We can't wait to go back again (and have some ice cream next time, too)!  xo
