A Trip to Drumlin Farm

Today we decided to go Drumlin Farm.  Drumlin Farm is part of the Mass Audubon Society.  It's a terrific place to go on a beautiful day like today. The kids can explore, learn about the different animals and plants, and just enjoy being outdoors.  After all, any excuse to be outdoors is good enough for us. We were especially excited that our friends Mary, Molly, Will, Jennifer and Abigail joined us on our terrific adventure.

A Pheasant!

The lambs were born this morning!

The poultry house (which is just the best chicken coop ever) was flooded and so we could not go in.

Emma weighs the same as a piglet.

And so does Grace.

Note the words on the silver duck tape:
Keep Off.

I have a feeling that there are horse back riding lessons in her future.

They were pumping water out of some flooded areas thanks to all the rain we had last weekend.
This, of course, had to be checked out by the kids.

It's trips to places like this that just continue to re-confirm my belief that my girls should live on a farm, or at the very least that we should live in a small country town.
It was the most perfect way to spend such a beautiful day!
Enjoy the rest of today, sweet friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.
