When I have said my evening prayer,
And my clothes are folded on the chair,
And mama has turned off the light,
I'll still be five years old tonight.
But from the very break of day,
Before the children rise and play,
Before the darkness turns to gold,
Tomorrow I'll be six years old!
Six kisses when I wake,
Six candles on my cake!
-Waldorf Birthday Verse
What a wonderful birthday eve you had today! From lunch with Gramma and Grandpa, to picking up a few last minute things for your celebration tomorrow, to baking your cake tonight, it was a glorious way to spend your last day as a five year old! Sleep well, sweet Emma Faith! We can't wait to see the next trip around the sun brings! xoxo
I love love love how they made the cake together! And on top of the table!
ReplyDeleteWishes for a wonderful birthday together!
Hugs,
Claudine
Thanks Claudine! They love making their cakes together (really they love doing everything together but especially so when it comes to birthday cakes)! And yes, sitting on the table is a must! :) xo
ReplyDeleteOh my god! This is a fantastic idea. My daughter loves baking and I can actually take her help this time on her dad’s birthday. It will be fun for her as well. I have booked a very pretty venue NYC for his birthday and I have invited all his friends, it’s a surprise party for him.
