A Quiet Afternoon

Since today was so hot and humid we decided that we'd spend the day inside where it was cool. This afternoon saw much knitting (these girls are getting quicker and quicker all the time)! As they have clearly mastered the knit stitch, I think it's time we cast off this piece and cast on for their first actual project! Now, just to figure out what that first project should be. xo

Be sure to scroll down to see our post about our second day at Epcot.

  1. Oh wow! I love that you taught them how to knit! That's soooooo awesome!

I wish I knew how to knit. Where do you live again *wink*.

    Wishing you a lovely week.

    1. Jennifer, feel free to swing by any time! :)

Seriously, my knitting skills are not that great (they've improved but there's still much more to learn) but thanks to the sweet knitting verse the girls picked it up so easily! There are lots of YouTube videos if you want to learn or, if you're like me, simply find a friend or someone who knows how to knit and have them show you how. I find it easier to learn from someone I can ask questions of, but that's just me! It's much easier than it seems! xo

  2. I am making a bunch of squares with chunky yarn and bigger needles then I am going to learn how to attach them all into a patchwork blanket. I can't wait to see what they come up with !
