The Museum of Science

David surprised us by taking the day off today!  He had a floating holiday that he had to use and since Northeastern is on Spring Break this week (they are on trimesters) he thought today would be an ideal day to use it.  We decided this morning to reserve the Museum of Science passes that the library has and go into Boston to check out the butterfly garden which is housed there.

Such a fabulous city.
Inside the Butterfly Garden.
Don't they looks so excited?
Notice where the butterfly landed!
I tried to get a closer picture but the butterfly flew away as I snapped it.
The girls were very excited to see R2D2 in the cockpit.
Clearly, they have watched Dave play Lego Star Wars on the PS3 a bit too much.
The Discovery Center (for littles) is a lot of fun.
Very similar to what we experienced at the Children's Museum,
but on a much smaller scale.
We love our Ergo.
It's fabulous that they can use it from infancy to preschool days.
I do wish that I had been able to capture some more pictures of the butterflies, but they fly much more quickly than the camera can photograph them. One had landed on Emma but by the time I could take the picture it had flown away. It was really wonderful to be able to spend the day together.  Just the four of us. Enjoying the ordinary miracles all around us.

Sleep well, dear friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.

  1. One of those pictures reminded me of the exhibits they used to have in the Hamden Plaza. They were so amazing, and it was so weird that they were just out in the middle of a strip mall for no logical reason. Definitely one of my favorite places from my childhood :)
